  The Guinness Trust Hackney Office is proud to launch its dual direct language line to the Repairs Desk. The service provides direct links to a Bengali or Turkish interpreter by pressing the appropriate button.

  Residents of St John's Close, Hayling Island turned out in force yesterday to take part in a community scheme, aimed at tidying up and improving their local street.

• 29 September 2008: City in Bloom Community Award - First Prize to Moyne Close and Laburnum Avenue

  

  Moyne Close came first in the Brighton and Hove City in Bloom and won first place in the prestigious Community Award. This is a new category and recognises not just the floral displays but also all that the community does throughout the year.

  Thursday the 7th of August 2008. Residents at Avondown House, an Extra Care Scheme in Bath, held a tea-party in the presence of the Lord Mayor of Bath to celebrate the completion of a major bathroom refurbishment project.
