The Trust's sales team are delighted to have completed the first
Social Homebuy sale at Hackworth House, Stamford Hill. The
delighted tenant, who is a school teacher, bought her home
outright, with a small discount of £16,000.

On 24 October 2006 during half term, the Big Yellow Party Bus
arrived on The Finches estate in Shoreham, although the weather
wasn't too kind to begin with the rain held off for long enough to
make the day a great success.

John Pattison, the local residents group at Benwell in Newcastle
and Guinness Trust staff were very pleased to welcome Andy Taylor,
Director at Barclays to the estate to see the new arts project that
was part funded by Barclays.

The quality of life for many sheltered residents is being
enhanced by the installation of Silver Surfer Cafés in sheltered
housing schemes. Hermitage Housing (Parchment) is piloting this
growing initiative in partnership with The Trust.

Patricia Boyd Award 2006 is nearly upon us. You should apply by

The Patricia Boyd award is given in memory of Lady Boyd, who
was, for many years, a member of the Board of Trustees. The aim is
to assist and encourage young people who are academically gifted
and wish to go on to higher education.
