The Board

Petter Cotton, Deputy Chair of the BoardPeter Cotton, Chair

Peter is Chair of the Guinness Care and Support Limited Board and a member of The Guinness Partnership Limited Board. He is a Board Member of The Guinness Housing Association Limited. He is a volunteer and ambassador for Florence Nightingale Hospice and a bereavement counsellor.

Jim Dickson, Board MembersJim Dickson, Board Member

Jim is Chair of the Service and Performance Committee, Chair of The Guinness Housing Association Limited and a member of the Remuneration and Nominations Committee. He is a trustee of First Base (London) and a board member of Severn Vale Housing Society.

Claire Feehily, GCS Board MemberDr Claire Feehily, Board Member

A former accountant and senior social care manager in local government, Claire has worked in four London boroughs and at Essex County Council. In 2001, she moved into part-time social care and financial consultancy, postgraduate academic studies and teaching. She completed her masters in 2002 and her doctorate was awarded in April 2009. She advises other organisations on financial and strategic management dimensions.

Penny Hayes, GCS Board MemberPenny Hayes, Board Member

Penny spent most of her career in retail, with Marks & Spencer plc, undertaking a wide range of roles in management, personnel and logistics. After leaving in 1999, she led a short assignment with Barnardo’s, and then joined The Guinness Trust in 2000 as Group Services Director. She left her Executive Director role in May 2011, but remains a dedicated Guinness Care and Support Limited Board Member.

Jeremy Robinson, GCS Board MemberJeremy Robinson, Board Member

A solicitor practicing in Devon for 33 years, Jeremy retired from his senior partner role in 2001, continuing as a consultant in Budleigh Salterton. He is a past President of the Devon and Exeter Law Society and was legal adviser to the Dean and Chapter of Exeter Cathedral. Jeremy was a governor of the West of England School for Children with Little or No Sight for 14 years. He is an Honorary Life Vice-President of the Devon County Agricultural Association. Jeremy was a Board Member of DCHS since 1983, and its Chair since 1996.

Linda Sanders, GCS Board MemberLinda Sanders, Board Member

Linda is Strategic Director for People at Wolverhampton City Council. She was a local authority corporate director in the West Midlands and London for 11 years, with responsibility for statutory adults, children’s social care and housing. She is the ADASS telecare lead and is an ADASS and ADCS associate. Formerly she was the ADASS VP and was co-chair of the ADASS disability network. She is also a social care advisor for ImPower. She chairs Coventry City Council’s Better Care Programme Board and led the creation of an all-age disability service.

Mike Petter, Board MemberMike Petter, Board Member

Mike is also a Board Member of The Guinness Partnership Limited and The Guinness Housing Association Limited. He is Director and Deputy Chair of the Considerate Constructors’ Scheme.

 

Catriona Simmons, Chief ExecutiveCatriona Simons

Catriona is the Chief Executive of The Guinness Partnership Limited and an executive Board Member. She is also a Board Member for Guinness Homes Limited, The Guinness Housing Association Limited, City Response Limited and Guinness Developments Limited.

Paul Watson, Managing Director of Guinness Care and SupportPaul Watson MBE, Managing Director

Paul joined Guinness Care and Support Limited in December 2007. He is a member of the Homes and Communities Agency Advisory Group on Older and Vulnerable People, and was Group Director of Hanover Housing Association. Between 2003 and 2005 he advised the Department of Health on policies for older people and people with learning disabilities. He received an MBE for his work as Chief Executive of a homelessness organisation.

The management team

Paul joined Guinness Care and Support Limited in December 2007. He is a member of the Homes and Communities Agency Advisory Group on Older and Vulnerable People, and was Group Director of Hanover Housing Association. He received an MBE for his work as Chief Executive of a homelessness organisation.

Sue LockSue Lock, Director of Strategy and Policy (Older People)

In this newly created role, Sue will be developing the vision and strategy for older people across the whole of Guinness. Sue joins us from Wulvern, where she was Chief Executive.

 

Ann SkipperAnn Skipper, People and Quality Director

Ann joined Guinness Care in July 2013, having previously worked in financial services and the Environment Agency.  She has responsibility for HR, learning and development, health and safety, staff communications and quality and assurance.

Lynn Lewis, GCS Interim Director of Community ServicesLynn Lewis, Director of Independent Living

Lynn is Director of Independent Living and has overall operational responsibility for housing for older people, extra care housing, supported living services, our care homes and the Sheffield Foyer.

 

Vicky HorsleyVicky Horsley, Care at Home Director

Vicky Horsley is our Care at Home Director. Vicky has overall operational responsibility for our care at home services.

 

Liz CurranLiz Curran, Finance Director and Company Secretary

Liz Curran is Finance Director and Company Secretary, with responsibility for finance, company secretarial, governance, performance information and reporting.
