This impressive new scheme consists of 60 apartments - 30 of these will be for sale and 30 are for affordable rent for those aged 55 or over.


What’s available?

Quayside will offer a beautiful place to live along with a variety of facilities. These include an onsite café, meeting/activity rooms, hairdressing salon, spa assisted bathroom and landscaped communal gardens.

There will be a staff presence 24/7 comprising a Registered Manager, a Concierge and care staff. The Wellbeing service will ensure there is someone on site 24/7. This will provide night cover and staff to facilitate a range of daytime services, activities and events that support wellbeing and independence.

The rents are set at 80% of the market rent and will be reviewed at each letting.

Property rent will be £160.98 per week for a one bed apartment and £181.08 per week for a two bed apartment. This is eligible for housing benefit subsidy if the customer is eligible.

In addition there will be a service charge of approximately £48 per week for communal utilities and other building related costs. Some of this is eligible for housing benefit subsidy if the customer is eligible and some the customer will pay for.

There will also be a Wellbeing charge of £32 per week. This will provide the 24/7 staff presence. Some of this cost will be eligible for housing benefit support and some of the costs will be paid for by the customer.


Care requirements will be one of the considerations when we make an allocation to an apartment. Home care will be commissioned on an individual basis with either the local authority or the customer paying for their care. Guinness Care will be on site and we can provide brochures and prices on request.

Local connection

In order to be considered for a property at Quayside, you’ll need to have a local connection to the South Hams District or Devon (in that order). This means you must have been/are a resident in these areas, have a family connection or work in the area.
