Living in our homes for older people

Every home is self-contained, with its own front door, kitchen and bathroom. We have helpful staff and other services to help you living in your home.

Applying for a home for older people

If you’re over 55 and wish to apply for one of our Homes for Older People (some schemes have a lower age limit of 50 and above) you can apply by completing an application form[pdf] and emailing it back to us at housingapplication@guinness.org.uk.

If you complete your form online, you’ll need to enter codes for the areas you wish to live. The codes should be used in the following way: For example, if you chose Wakefield (816), you’d be considered for any area that sits underneath that code and starts with 816. If you only want Hemsworth, you’d use code 8162 and would only be considered for that particular area. Some codes may not have areas underneath, e.g Bromley (730) – this is normally because we only have small stock in that area.

Alternatively you can give our applications team a call on 0303 123 1890 (option 2) and we can complete your application over the phone. Our friendly team are around 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday.
