Turning a dream into a career

Emily received funds to complete the British Sign Language Level 3 training and she now has a job lined up for September.  She has always wanted to be a sign language interprepter and she couldn’t have got this job without her qualification.

Gaining vital experience

She’s been volunteering as a sign language interpreter at the National Deaf Children’s Society, a charity that’s helped her two deaf sisters. Emily has also been a carer within her family since 2010 and she is now in a place where she can focus on her career.  She’s now on the path to her dream job.

“The award has made a big difference in helping me to get to where I want to be in my career. I’m excited to start work in September now!”
