The college building was an unused large area set in the heart of historic Gloucester.

It’s now a stunning development of contemporary homes with a new doctor’s surgery, pharmacy, offices, restaurants, café bars and community space.

The regeneration on Brunswick Road provides over 100 homes. We look after the 10 houses and 22 flats for affordable rent and shared ownership.

Unearthing Roman history

During the development, Cotswold Archaeology made some fascinating Roman discoveries, including a burial site and pottery.

After the excavation we incorporated an existing Roman wall into the development, using red bricks that were wider and lower than traditional bricks to match the Roman wall.

Chris Harris, Managing Director for Linden Homes, said: “This is a very important area, steeped in history. It’s incredibly exciting to find out more about Gloucester’s fascinating past.”
