The scheme replaced low-quality, street-fronted terraced housing with 24 modern homes. Each house now has a garden and parking.

The new development in Crosby, Scunthorpe is designed for small families and single people.

The project has re-established the local park, the Memorial Gardens. It will also provide a new play and sports area for Scunthorpe Church of England Primary School.

Dave Blades, business development director at Hobson & Porter, who we partnered with on the project, said:

“The need for affordable housing is growing and we’re delighted to be working Guinness to deliver this project.”

“We’re always looking for projects to work on that will make a real difference to the local community. The original properties were beginning to create a bit of an eyesore in the town and we’re looking forward to providing a fresh new look to the area.”

Allan Ramsay, our Director of Investment and Regeneration said: “We’re delighted to able to kickstart the regeneration of this part of the town. We’re grateful for the support of the council and the Homes and Communities Agency for contributing £413,000 grant subsidy to help make the rents on these homes affordable.”
