If we receive your payment after the date we’ve agreed with you, we have the right to charge interest. If a payment’s not appearing on your account within the first few days of the month, we’ll get in touch to see how we can help.
The easiest way to pay us is by Direct Debit. This is a monthly payment that comes directly from your bank account. You can also pay through MyGuinness or over the phone using our automated payment service.
To make a payment you’ll need to know your Payment Reference Number, which you can find on your account statement or by logging in to MyGuinness.

A regular statement so you know where your money’s going

You’ll receive regular statements to show:
- the total amount you pay
- your account balance
- any housing benefit that we’ve received on your behalf
- any other amount you’ve agreed to pay if you’ve fallen behind in your payments.
We also have information on managing your money and financial support.
Ground rent is paid to the owner of the plot of land where your home is. You might pay this annually or through your service charge. You can check this on your lease.
How to make a payment
The easiest way to pay is by Direct Debit
Direct Debit is the simplest way to pay your rent and service charge. Weekly or monthly payments will be taken straight from your bank account. And you won’t have to worry about missing a payment.
Direct Debit includes a payment guarantee, so if the bank makes an error, or we do, you’ll get a refund.
You can sign up for Direct Debit over the phone. Call us on 0303 123 1890 Monday to Saturday, 8am–8pm to set up your Direct Debit today.
You’ll need your:
- Bank’s name
- Sort code and account number

The easiest way to view your account and make a payment is through MyGuinness.
MyGuinness also allows you to:
- request an alteration or improvement to your home
- request a payment card
- request a parking permit
- report a fly-tipping, graffiti or other community issues
Pay quickly with our automated payment service
You can also make a payment quickly over the phone using our automated payment service.
To do this you will need to know:
- Your 19 digit Allpay reference number
- Your credit/debit card details
- How much you want to pay
