Home Contents Insurance

Could you afford to replace your possessions if they were stolen or damaged in an accident? Did you realise that many of the expensive fixtures and fittings in your property, including carpets and laminate floors, are your responsibility? Do you think that home contents insurance is a pointless expense?

The Simple insurance policy, provided by Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance plc (RSA), provides cover for your home contents at premiums The Guinness Partnership has negotiated for its customers. We do not make any money if you sign up for a policy. We agreed this scheme as a service to our customers and because we strongly believe that everyone should have contents insurance.

We do not guarantee that this is the cheapest cover you can find but Simple is a comprehensive policy that offers a number of advantages, including:

  • No excess charged if you claim.
  • Low minimum sums insured (£6,000 for pensioners, £9,000 for everyone else) and corresponding low premiums.
  • Premiums can be paid weekly, fortnightly, monthly or yearly.
  • Standard cover for theft, fire, flood, vandalism, flooding from domestic appliances, accidental damage, lost or stolen keys, freezer contents – see the leaflet for more details.
  • Optional extensions for additional accidental damage cover, personal belongings when outside your home, hearing aids and wheelchairs.
