When will my repair be done?
When a repair is reported you will be advised how long it
should take to be carried out. This will depend on the type of
repair and whether it affects your health or safety or the security
of the public or the property.
There are 3 types of repair:
Emergency : Work required within 24 hours to maintain the
health and safety and/or security of the tenant, public or
property.
Urgent : Works required within 7 days to maintain the
property of comfort of the residents
Routine : works required within 28 days for less serious
repairs.
But these timescales will not apply if
:
a) the works required are so
expensive that further inspections and estimates will be needed
before the work can be carried out
b) you have not co-operated with
the contractor to provide access for the work to be carried
out.
