There are three Area Committees within Guinness Hermitage; Hermitage Area Committee, South West Area Committee and Wessex/White Horse Area Committee.  Gloucester will also have an area committee once Gloucestershire Housing Association amalgamates with Guinness Hermitage in April 2012 and will become the fourth Guinness Hermitage committee.

Each of these Area Committees supports the work of Guinness Hermitage Board by advising, using their local knowledge, and facilitating resident involvement with the Board. 

They are responsible to the Board for improving performance and efficiency, supporting resident engagement, community development and communication with the Board, contributing views on investment in new homes and promoting the lasting interests of Guinness Hermitage. They also have certain delegated powers.

The Area Committees meet approximately four times a year, on dates agreed in advance that enable timely performance information, comment on the budget and feedback to the Board.
