An area panel is a small, informal group of residents who are keen to have a say about housing and community issues at a local level.
It is similar to a Tenants Association, but the set up is much more informal. It does not have a constitution (working rules), hold an annual general meeting or have accounts.
An area panel is relatively easy to set up and can be formed in just a few days. It can be set up by residents living in an individual street, estate, block of flats or sheltered housing scheme. For more information, please contact your local office and speak to your Resident Involvement Officer.
