Focus Groups

Residents at a focus group

Focus Groups are normally one-off, informal discussion sessions for a small number of residents.

Each focus group concentrates on a specific topic or service area.

Focus groups are a tried-and-tested research method, which is already used by other housing organisations and they have proved to be very popular with many Guinness Hermitage residents.

Topics

To date, topics covered at our focus groups include:

  • Anti-Social Behaviour
  • Communications
  • Resident Publications
  • Hermitage Advantage Membership Benefits
  • Equality & Diversity
  • Estate Services
  • Office Opening Hours
  • Repair Appointment Times
  • Aids & Adaptations
  • Community Investment

All of these focus groups were successful in providing direct feedback about our services from a cross-section of Guinness Hermitage residents.

The above topics, plus some other topics, will be covered in further focus groups lined up for 2011.

When we hold focus groups

We are aiming to hold at least one focus group session in every month of the year.

All Guinness Hermitage residents - tenants and leaseholders - are welcome to attend our focus groups.  We can provide help with travelling and childcare costs.
