Leaving your property

We know that the time may come when you want to leave your property. There are a number of different options available to you.

Selling

If you wish to sell your property your lease will normally state that you have to let us know. Contact the Home Ownership Services Team as they will be able to give lots of help and advice on what options are available to you.

Most leases require the property to be offered to our waiting list first; however, we would check the lease for any requirements at the time of enquiry.

In some circumstances we may consider buying your property.

Transferring

You can add an extra leaseholder or remove a leaseholder from the lease if all parties agree. You will need permission from us and your lender, if you have a mortgage. You will also need to have a solicitor to deal with the transfer of the lease and will have to pay the legal costs involved as well as any costs incurred by us.
