Naomi used her Aspire Award to fund her nursing studies at the prestigious King’s College London.
A childhood dream
Naomi has wanted to study nursing since childhood and is the first member of her family to go to university.
It was clear how committed Naomi is to her chosen degree and what kind of difference it will make to her life, which is why she was chosen as our second Your Degree recipient.
The hard work begins
Naomi is now studying a BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing at the world-renowned Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery and Palliative Care at King’s College, London.
Naomi said:
Moving to London has been both terrifying and exciting. It is a huge change to my life. But I love my course. It is hard work, but so varied – I am loving studying at the university campus at Waterloo, and then doing practical work at both Charing Cross and St Thomas’ Hospitals. I have access to excellent teachers and world class researchers – I can’t believe that I have been given this opportunity. This award from The Guinness Partnership is allowing me to focus and dedicate all my effort on my university education without having to worry about the financial side of things. It means that I can concentrate on nursing. I am so grateful for this support.
