Sarah qualified in a Level 3 Counselling Practitioner course. She has also studied in other counselling technique courses to add to her skills. Due to having an auto immune disease she struggles to find work to fit around it. She’s voluntarily set up two support groups in her community – one for women and another to support those with ME which she combines with part-time counselling work.
Following a dream
She was at the Aspire Awards celebration event in July 2017 and said the funding has enabled her to do something she’s very passionate about.
“I would highly recommend the Aspire Awards to anyone who really wants to do something but doesn’t have the finance to do it. The grant I’ve received has enabled me to qualify and take this training further to help more people.”
