We’ve recently won substantial funding for new sustainability projects in Cornwall and Grimsby.
We’ve secured more than £530,000 in grant funding from the Department of Energy and Climate Change and British Gas to install gas central heating systems in 90 of our homes in Redruth.
This completely grant-funded project means we can replace inefficient and expensive electric systems for our customers.
We’ve also secured £200,000 from the fuel poverty charity, National Energy Action, to part-fund the installation of solar panels and new storage heaters in 65 Grimsby flats.
In addition, we’re also using ECO funding to fit some of our homes with cavity wall and loft insulation. This will help us meet our commitment that no Guinness home has a low energy performance rating by 2030.
By the end of this month, we’ll have secured almost £2 million funding over the past year, which all supports energy efficiency improvements to our homes.
