Aid for Ashgate Hospicecare

Ashgate Hospicecare provides care to patients across North Derbyshire at the hospice, in the community and at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

The services are provided free of charge to patients and their families and are funded through donations, legacies and income raised through their 16 shops.

Hard at work

Our teams helped with three projects; providing a large clinical waste compound, installing a wash basin in one of the day rooms, and painting and decorating some of the consulting rooms.

The work was completed in just one week, and made a huge difference to the staff and residents of the hospice.

A big thank you

Lorraine Chambers, estates and facilities manager at the hospice said: “The team worked tremendously hard and it has been a pleasure having them work on our site in such a professional manner.

“The staff and patients have all commented on how much better the rooms look and feel, so thank you again.”

The staff involved took great pleasure in assisting such a worthwhile organisation, and it’s been a great way for them to give back to the local community.
