Collecting contributions for Trussell Trust
We’ve been helping out at Trussell Trust collections at Tesco’s this month as part of our Food Sense campaign. Guinness teams volunteered over the weekend, encouraging shoppers to donate food for the Trussell Trust’s Christmas hampers.
Annmarie Teahan, who took part in a collection at Surrey Quays, London said,
“We found it a really worthwhile experience and were surprised by the generosity of shoppers and the amount collected.”
Teams will continue to help with collections and packing Christmas hampers throughout December.
Santa’s little helpers in Manchester
Staff at our Bower House office have been collecting toys for Key 103’s Mission Christmas appeal for Cash for Kids. Staff have been bringing in toys for children aged 0 to 18 years, hoping to make this Christmas very special for lots of children in Manchester.
Supporting our customers over Christmas
Instead of doing their traditional Secret Santa this year, the India House team chose to donate gifts for customers that might be alone this Christmas. These gifts – ranging from chocolates to books – were hand-delivered to about 30 of our residents at sheltered schemes in Manchester, letting them know that someone is thinking of them this year.
