Christmas cheer and charity
across Guinness

22 December 2016

Our staff and customers have been spreading lots of Christmas cheer and doing their bit for charity this month.

Staff getting in the festive spiritBooks and toys for girls and boys

We’ve been collecting toys and books for various charities across the country. Staff in our Oldham and Manchester offices donated almost 250 toys and gifts to the Key 103 Mission Christmas toy appeal. Collections were also held in Milton Keynes, Exeter and London, all for The Salvation Army’s toy appeal. One of our teams in Oldham even changed the rules of their Secret Santa. They bought children’s gifts they thought their colleagues would like and then donated them all to the toy appeal – what a great idea!

Celebrations and donations

Two of our staff members stepped in at the last minute to play Mr and Mrs Claus at the Christmas Festival on our Darnhill estate. While residents at our Loxley Court scheme in Sheffield had a visit from one of Santa’s elves before enjoying a delicious Christmas dinner and entertainment.

As well as making our offices and schemes look festive, we also took part in Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day. There were snowmen, penguins, Santas and jingle bells everywhere! We managed to raise a fantastic £300 for the charity.
