Free training: Grow a new career working in nature
10 March 2022
If you’re a Guinness resident who cares about climate change and are looking for a new career working in nature, a free training scheme is on offer to help get you started.
We’re funding a six-week training programme for customers aged 18 and over in Heywood, Greater Manchester. The course is an introduction to careers in nature restoration, river and flood risk management, landscaping and grounds maintenance, green technology, and more.
Led by environmental charity federation Groundwork, the course includes lessons and projects. Learning takes place in a mix of classroom and outdoor settings. Participants will gain nationally recognised qualifications, such as a CSCS Green Card and certificates in carbon literacy, money management and customer service.
Once the course is completed, participants will receive three months of support and mentoring to help them find work.
