The quality of our new developments continues to be recognised with three new awards from leading industry bodies.
Our dementia-friendly housing scheme in Totnes is the overall winner in the ‘Best Specialist Residential’ category of the 2018 Devon Building Control Partnership Building Excellence Awards.
The £13 million Quayside extra care development provides 60 high-quality apartments for residents aged over 55. The scheme includes a café bistro, activity areas, a pamper suite and modern digital door entry and warden call systems. It was officially opened in May 2018.
Our affordable rent scheme on Frank Bott Avenue in Crewe has won a ‘Pride in The Job Award’ from the National Housing Building Control (NHBC). This award recognises site managers who achieve the highest house-building standards and is one of the most highly regarded competitions in the house-building industry.
Finally, our over 55s affordable rent scheme, Brooklands House, in Crewe has won a Considerate Constructors Scheme 2018 National Site Award.
The new, energy-efficient homes overlook beautiful parkland and each apartment boasts a balcony and an accessible wet floor shower.
Suhayl Motorwala, Project Manager for Guinness said, “Our contractors, Kier Living, did an excellent job operating a pristine and well-organised site during the construction of this beautiful scheme.”
We’re really pleased to see our schemes being recognised for setting the industry standards and congratulate all the fantastic staff involved.
