We have acquired 191 homes from housebuilder Crest Nicholson Plc as part of the regeneration of wasteland in Gloucester Quays, which has seen the Gloucester Docks area dramatically transformed.
We’ll be providing 131 homes for shared ownership and a further 60 affordable rent at The Waterfront.
Graham Phillips, Marketing Manager for Guinness Homes, said: “The shared ownership scheme is really affordable and the range of new homes at The Waterfront mean that home ownership is within reach for even more people.”
Gloucester City Councillor Steve Morgan was delighted that we could make more of these contemporary homes affordable to the local public. He said, “It’s great that people have got that flexibility over there that they can afford to live there. It will bring more vitality to the area, clearly it’s a sustainable development because of the location.”
We have already seen a lot of interest, with a number of homes from Phase 1 already reserved and sold. We expect to be welcoming the first residents into their new homes in September this year.
Some shared ownership properties are still available for sale and even more will be available soon – including some which have views over the water.
