Keeping you safe

19 September 2016

Each year we carry out a free gas safety check in your home, take a look at our short video to see how this benefits you.

Keeping you and your family safe is our top priority, so each year we carry out a free gas safety check in your home. This would usually cost you around £60, but as a Guinness customer yours is free.

We’ll make the appointment for you and tell you when it’ll be, all you need to do is let us know if you need to rearrange.

One of our qualified gas engineers will visit your home to carry out the check.

Things you can do to keep yourself gas safe include:

  • never use a gas appliance you think is faulty
  • letting us know right away if there is a yellow or orange flame, soot or stains around the appliance, or the pilot light keeps going out
  • don’t cover appliances or block air vents
  • don’t fit draught excluders or double glazing to rooms containing a gas appliance without providing further ventilation.

If you smell gas or are worried about gas safety call 0800 111 999 anytime for free.
