Launching 56 new
homes in Plymouth

10 March 2016

Last week we held an open house at our Stonehouse Arena development in Harwell Street, Plymouth to welcome our customers into their new homes.

The new homes in Plymouth – 46 for affordable rent and 10 shared ownership homes – were developed on a derelict sports ground.

New homes on an unused site

“The site was neglected for 13 years, so we’re delighted to have been able to support the regeneration and development to provide much needed modern, energy efficient, affordable housing in the city.” said Councillor Chris Penberthy, the cabinet member for cooperatives and housing for Plymouth City Council.

Sustainable, energy efficient homes

We’ve focused on reducing running costs for these homes, including adding solar panels to the roofs. The homes have been built to the Lifetime Homes standard too, so they can be adapted to meet the future needs of the residents.

Ryan Hosken, head of development delivery at Guinness said: “This has been a complex project to deliver, but the results are excellent. We’re really pleased to be able to offer our customers such high-quality homes.”
