Matthias Court,
a refurbishment with a difference

21 September 2015

This September, Matthias Court will be transformed into an immersive venue for theatre, storytelling and live art.

Matthias Court was transformed into an immersive venue for theatre, storytelling and live art.Domestic II is a one-off trip around a building in transition, with real-life stories performed in surreal settings and inspired by social issues.

Matthias Court is mid-renovation, which creates a uniquely captivating atmosphere. One minute you’re immersed in a café with audio installations and the next you’re in an empty flat contemplating space travel.

Word of warning

Domestic II is the creation of one of our customers, Tamsin Drury, who owns arts production company – Word of Warning.

The first production, Domestic, took place in Cooper House, which was also undergoing renovation at the time. This year we’ve secured a £12,000 grant using public funding through Arts Council England to help Tamsin set up Domestic II.

When and where

The performances take place over three days, from 24 to 26 September 2015, at Matthias Court in Salford.
