New gas servicing contracts

This week is Gas Safety Week and a perfect opportunity to announce our new and improved gas servicing contracts.

We service gas appliances in all tenants’ homes each year and have contracts in place with specialist providers for this service.  Over the last 12 months we have been working together with some tenants who told us they’d like to be involved in helping to shape this service.

Contractors who were interested in delivering gas servicing to Guinness tenants were invited to submit a tender – telling us how they would deliver this service.  Residents helped to review the tender documents and mark the answers to questions – particularly where these related to customer service. Residents’ involvement in the scoring helped select our contractors and also helped agree the content in the final contracts.

The contracts have now been awarded and will be live soon.  We will continue to work with two of our previous contractors – Sure, providing domestic services in the North and South West and commercial in the North, and K&T providing domestic and commercial services in the South East.  We’ll also be welcoming a new contractor, Robert Heath Heating, to deliver commercial services in the South West.

As an organisation focused on delivering great customer service, we recognise the importance of involving residents when tendering for new contracts – as the contracts awarded directly impact the services our residents receive.

The residents who were involved found real value in helping award our new gas servicing contracts and agreed they would want to take part in similar opportunities in the future.
