We’re very proud to announce that we have been shortlisted for four Investors in People (IiP) Awards – in what IiP describes as a record-breaking year for entries.
We’ve been shortlisted in the Diversity & Inclusion, Best People Team, Social Responsibility, and Leadership & Management categories.
To be shortlisted for these four awards is fantastic recognition of our colleagues and their commitment to The Guinness Partnership as a Great Place to Work. Our shortlisting in 2021 comes after the three awards we won last year.
The judges noted, in particular, our work on Anti-Racism, which is part of a wider commitment to D&I, and commented on the way the we use our influence to work with suppliers and other organisations to promote Diversity and Inclusion more widely.
In supporting communities, the judges said the huge impact made to individuals, and communities is clear, and the number of households we support is impressive. Judges highlighted initiatives – such as Dementia Friends and Bring Dementia Out – which help colleagues learn about Dementia and better supporting people affected by it (including the specific challenges experienced by the LGBT+ community).
Judges also commented on the Toolkit we have developed to help frontline workers identify domestic abuse and understand where to access the appropriate help in these situations. This Toolkit responds to the rise in reported domestic abuse cases during the pandemic and by making the Toolkit freely available to all organisations, we are taking a stand to tackle domestic abuse in society.
