Community Support

Purpose and lawful basis

We want to be able to support the communities we offer homes in, in order to support you with the rising cost of living, emotional well-being or even through training and education. We therefore invest in a wide-range of activities to give you access to a number of opportunities.

The personal data that we need to use in order to run these activities will normally be your name, data or birth, address, contact details and any further information that may be deemed relevant that you want to provide in order to access these services.

We will then use your personal data under Article 6 (1) (f) of the UK General Data Protection Regulations (UK GDPR) as it will be in our and your Legitimate Interests.

We won’t generally ask you to provide to us or use information that is of a sensitive nature for example your health or racial origin. However, should you choose to provide this to us as you feel it is relevant for us to know, we will regard this as you have given us explicit consent under Article 9 (2) (a) of the UK GDPR to process this type of data.

We would like to keep you up to date on Community Support initiatives so that you can get involved. Where we do this via post we will use your name and address under Article 6 (1) (f) of the UK GDPR as it is in our legitimate interests. Where we wish to communicate with you electronically on Customer Support initiatives we will always seek your consent under Article 6 (1) (a) of the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communication Regulations before doing so.

Why we need to use it?

If you want to get involved in Customer Support initiatives we will need to use your perssonal data in order to run and co-ordinate the relevant activities.

How long we keep it?

We will keep records relating to your involvement for a period of 6 years.

Your Rights

You have the right to access your personal data held in your application file by us. (Access)

You also have the right to have inaccurate data corrected and incomplete data completed. (Rectification)

You have the right to request information to be deleted. (Erasure)

You have the right to request us to pause the use of your data only if you have contested the accuracy whilst we verify your application or to stop it’s deletion in the case of a legal claim. (Restriction)

You have the right to object to the processing that is for a task carried out in our and your legitimate interests. (Object)

Where you have provided consent for the use of your personal data you have the right to withdraw this at any time. (Consent)

Who we share the information with?

In order to provide these activities, it is necessary for us to partner with a number of external organisations. When we do so it will be necessary for us to share your personal data with them in order to carry out the activities.
